As the region's lead economic marketing organization, the Alliance aggressively pursues new business opportunities throughout the world.

Hampton Roads Planning District Commission: The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC), one of 21 Planning District Commissions in the Commonwealth of Virginia, is a regional organization representing this area's sixteen local governments.

Technology Hampton Roads : The Hampton Roads Technology Council is the technology nerve center for the southeastern region of Virginia named Hampton Roads. Through the following initiatives, this member-driven non-profit organization is transforming the region and its technology companies into world-recognized technology leaders.

Virginia National Defense Industrial Authority: Established during the 2006 Session of the Virginia General assembly to…“Assist impacted Virginia localities in funding needs associated with the implementation and response to the recommendations of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission (BRAC) which were subsequently agreed to by the President and the United States Congress.”

Virginia Office of Commonwealth Preparedness: To ensure a Virginia whose communities, businesses and government are safe, secure and prepared.  To accomplish this, the Office of Commonwealth Preparedness works with federal, state, and local officials, as well as the private sector, to develop a seamless, coordinated security and preparedness strategy and implementation plan. The office also serves as the liaison between the Governor and the federal Department of Homeland Security.
